~ Purcell Burial Ground

Bridgeton Township

Kindly submitted by Susan  Moore Raff

John and Ann had another daughter Lavinia who married William Goddard of Nockamixon.

They had a son Wesley Goddard who lived in Bridgeton. Don't know where they are buried.

At the time of John Moore's death in 1807 he and Ann had just bought 125 acres of land from the Traugers in Alexandria, Hunterdon County. Ann eventually moved the family there and by 1830 she and her sons, William, John, Jacob, Archibald, and Thomas were settled there. Ann died in 1843 and was buried next to her husband in Upper Black Eddy. Her son's continued to farm the land in Hunterdon. 90 acres of the original land is still owned by their descendents to this day!
