BARBARA A. CARNAHAN

 

BARBARA A. CARNAHAN, a resident of Hatboro since 1953, died suddenly Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 73.

She was the wife of JAMES T. CARNAHAN SR.

Born in Abington, she was a daughter of the late ELMER D. and KATHLEEN (SERCOMBE) PICKWELL.

Barbara loved gardening and reading and was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter, JAMES T. CARNAHAN JR. and his wife, SUSAN and BARBARA A. CARNAHAN, all of Hatboro; and her grandchildren, JAMES (JAMIE) T. CARNAHAN III of Perkasie and MELISSA L. CARNAHAN of New York, N.Y. Also surviving are a sister and two brothers, NANCY SIEGRIST of New Jersey, JOHN PICKWELL of Upper Moreland and GEORGE PICKWELL of Hatboro. She was preceded in death by a son, KEITH J. (KIP) and a sister, JANE DIAMOND.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her service at 11 a.m. on Monday in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, where her family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Monday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara's memory to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pike, Bldg. A, Suite 100, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
