MYRTLE W. REICHENBACH BERGEY

 

MYRTLE W. REICHENBACH BERGEY, formerly of Bedminster Township, died February 17 in Genesis Eldercare, Quakertown Center, Quakertown. She was 88.

She was the wife of WILLIAM P. BERGEY, who died in 1999 and HOWARD I. REICHENBACH, who died in 1976.

Born in Haycock Township, she was the daughter of the late IRVIN H. and ALICE WOLFINGER BLEAM.

She had been employed as a seamstress for the former Fretz's Pants Factory, Doylestown for 14 years, until retiring in 1964.

She and her first husband owned and operated a lawn mower shop in Bedminster from 1964 to 1976.

She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kellers Church where she served on the church council from 1977 to 1980. She also was a member of the church WELCA group.

Mrs. Bergey was a former Freedom Valley Girl Scout leader for five years during the early 1960s.

 

Her funeral service was February 22 in St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie (Kellers Church). Interment will be in Keller's Church Cemetery, Kellers Church. Arrangements are by Bernard Suess Funeral Home, Perkasie.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, 18944.
