MARILYN M. SNYDER

 

MARILYN M. SNYDER, 79, of Quakertown, formerly of Allentown, died July 23, 2003 in the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's in Bethlehem.

She was the wife of the late FORREST R. SNYDER.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late WILLIAM H. and GERTRUDE A. (RAMAGE) CORDES.

She served as a U.S. Army nurse during WWII.

She was a registered nurse, retiring as an industrial nurse from Mack Trucks Inc. in Allentown. After her retirement, she was employed as a nurse by Sacred Heart Family Practice Center and ILGWU Women's Health Center, both in Allentown, and she also worked at several hospitals in the Allentown area.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Applebachsville, where she was a member of the church choir, a former member of the church council and also taught Vacation Bible School.

She was a member of the Haycock Senior Citizens, a LifeQuest volunteer at the former Quakertown Community Hospital, a member of the South Allentown Opti-Misses, where she served as past president, and she was a Republican committeewoman.

Services were held July 28.
