FRANCES SHURTS

Perkasie, Pa. - Frances "Jean" Shurts died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Grandview Hospital here. She was 84.

Mrs. Shurts was born in Solebury Township, the daughter of Abraham and Hannah Hoagland Wiggins.

She was raised in New Hope and lived in Lambertville prior to moving to Perkasie in 1996.

During World War II< Mrs. Shurts worked at the General Motors plant in Ewing Township, where airplanes were being built for the war effort. She retired from Lambertville Ceramics in 1982.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lambertville. Her Husband, William A. Shurts, died earlier. She is survived by a son, William A. Shurts, Jr. of Lambertville, a daughter, Elizabeth Girard of Perkasie; four grandchildren and two great-grand-children.> Memorial contributions can be made to the RockHill Mennonite Community Day Services, 3250 State Road., Sellersville, PA 18960-1699
