George H. Sine of Perkasie died Friday, May 19, 2000 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He was 80.

He was the husband of the late Mary Ann (Morsillo) Sine, who died November 17, 1998. Born in Perkasie, he was a son of the late William R. Sr. and E. Carrie (Benner) Sine.

Mr. Sine was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Perkasie for 26 years until retiring. Prior to that, he was employed as a butcher for seven years for the former Benner's Market, Perkasie.

He attended Faith Baptist Church, Sellersville. Mr. Sine was a U.S. army Air Force veteran of World War II. Following his completion of Air Force Pilot Training School and during his combat tour, he flew 35 missions out of England over Germany as a B-17 Bomber Pilot. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Three Oak Leaf Cluster and the World War II Victory Medals. Following his discharge in June of 1945, he went into the National Guard Reserves and retired as a Major of the 28th Division Supply Office after 22 years of Service.

An avid pinochle player, Mr. Sine was also a member of the Order of Owl's Nest, Perkasie He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Guttman in January 1996; a brother; Joseph Sine; and a sister, Ethel Weisel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services to be held Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at 8 pm in faith Baptism Church, 700 North Main St. Sellersville, PA 18960. Interment will be Wednesday May 24 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Perkasie. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptism Church, T.V. ministry at the above address.

HARRY W. SINE

HARRY W. SINE, of Pine Run Community Health Center, formerly of New Hope, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2003. He was 89.

Born in Carversville, he was the son of the late LULU ERRICKSON and WATSON P. SINE.

He graduated from Doylestown High School in 1931. He was a caretaker on a local estate, a roofer and a carpenter. He retired from the United Postal Service as a rural carrier in 1983.

Harry was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Bucks County Fish and Game Association, where he served on the Board of Governors. He also was a member of the North American Hunting Club for many years.

Harry enjoyed many things in life, especially hunting, fishing, nature and antique collecting, but he cherished the time he spent with his family the most.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harry's memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 377, Solebury, PA 18963 or Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 875 N. Easton Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.
