John Balderston married Hannah Cooper on October 21, 1737 in Gwynedd Meeting held in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Jonathan Cooper and Sarah Hibbs. She was born on March 29, 1719 in Middletown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

John Balderston was a weaver who immigrated from England. They had the following Children: Mordecai Balderston Born January 31, 1755 in Wrightstown, Bucks, PA Died: April 21, 1820 in Short Creek, Ohio John Balderston Born March 15, 1740 in Solebury Twp, Bucks County, PA Died: April 27, 1821 in Solebury Twp, Bucks County, PA Jonathan Balderston Born: October 26, 1741 in Solebury Twp, Bucks County, PA Died: August 25, 1825 Bartholomew Balderston Born Sept 4, 1743 in Bucks County Died: Unknown Jacob Balderston Born Dec. 27, 1748 Bucks County Died York, PA Hannah Balderston Born Jan 11, 1752 in Bucks County Died: 1833 in Jefferson, , Ohio Isaiah Balderston B. Feb 24 1753 , , Bucks County, PA D. Sept 5, 1817 Sarah Balderston B Feb 21, 1757 Bucks County, PA Lydia Balderston B. Jul 4, 1759 Bucks County D. Oct 2, 1820 John Balderston B About 1761 Bucks County Mary Balderston B. June 11, 1762 Bucks County. John Balderston the Father refused to take the Oath of Allegiance which was prescribed by law in 1777. As the time of his death in July 1778 his property was in danger of being seized by the government for failure to take the oath. John, Jonathan and Mordecai were listed as being members of Captain Lanning and Captain Kestor’s regiments in Solebury.
